The following rules are designed to protect the safety of participants of Altitude Adventure

Before you go on Altitude Adventure

Participants who want to experience Altitude Adventure must be able to understand and demonstrate knowledge of all safety rules to participate without adult supervision

Participants must be minimum 1.2m tall to participate without adult supervision

Participants between the height of 1m and 1.2m must be accompanied by a responsible adult and stay within 1 arm’s length at all times

Individuals under 1m in height are not permitted on the course

Participants must be able to fit in the harness to be able to go on the course

Participant maximum weight is 136kg (21 stone)

You should be in good health and in good physical condition to participate. Do not participate if you suspect your health could be at risk or you could aggravate a pre-existing condition.

This activity is not recommended for individuals with:

  • Back problems
  • Neck problems
  • Heart problems
  • Recent surgery
  • Or if you are pregnant

Participants suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol are not permitted on Altitude Adventure

Altitude Adventure reserves the right to refuse entry to any individual if deemed necessary for the safety of themselves or others

No flip flops or open toed shoes are permitted. Ensure that shoes are secure and shoe laces are tied

Pockets must be empty and you must ensure you have no loose objects such as phones or cameras on your person

Participants wearing glasses must ensure they are secure and not at risk of falling off

No chewing gum, food or drinks are to be consumed on the course

All personal items must be left in the lockers provided or with a spectator. Altitude Adventure is not liable for personal items that have been lost, stolen or damaged whilst stored in the lockers provided

While you’re Exploring Altitude Adventure

Only 1 person is permitted on a rope challenge (element) at a time except if a participant is being assisted by an adult or member of the Altitude Adventure team in accordance with these safety rules

Do not run, jump, hang in the harness, fall intentionally or engage in horseplay during the activity. We reserve the right to remove participants displaying these behaviours to ensure the safety of themselves and other participants

The harness sling line should stay in front of and between the participants shoulders at all times

Do not touch the overhead track system or tamper with the harness or sling line

You must notify a member of the Altitude Adventure team of any injuries before leaving Altitude Adventure

Closure Due to Weather

Altitude Adventure is an all year round outdoor activity, which can be enjoyed regardless of the UK’s changeable weather conditions, subject to our FAQs and the weather conditions set-out below:

  • Extreme wind conditions
  • Thunderstorms
  • Heavy ice or snow

In the event of these weather conditions the course will be closed, for your safety, and all participants will be asked to disembark the course.
